With tip my lunch came to over $20 and wasn't worth it. In sum - interesting decor, decent server, cold/overly salty food. Both items I ordered were exceedingly salty - the empanadas were difficult to eat, and the soup was barely warm. I'm very glad I finally tried a Bahama Breeze location, but I dpn't ever need to go back. One dipping sauce was a pineapple salsa which I didn't care for, and the other was a creamy sauce with no discernable flavor, so I mostly ate the empanadas with no sauce. The ground beef/potato filling, like the soup, was also very salty. I tried to knife-and-fork it at first but the pastry shattered, so then I tried picking it up with my hands - but the filling kept falling out and I ended up using a spare napkin as a bib. The empanadas looked good but proved very difficult to eat. There were some good pieces of small shrimp but I couldn't detect any other seafood. It was also exceedingly salty, which was a turnoff. The soup was plated into a cold bowl, so I had to eat it quickly before the warmth evaporated. I upgraded the cup of Bahamian seafood chowder to a bowl for $1 more, which I thought was very reasonable. I opted for the beef empanadas/soup combination. My server was fine - attentive but not overly so, but nothing special. their larger locations, and indeed it was charming inside - slowly rotating ceiling fans, and interesting decor.
